The Center enables students to find an overriding purpose for their lives, equips them to make life decisions based on this purpose, and empowers them to develop this purpose into world changing leadership. Our On-Campus Recruitment Program assists in this venture by providing students with opportunities to connect with employers in order to bring the career aspects associated with their Life Calling to fruition.
Prior to conducting their job search, students need to develop techniques for resume development, networking and interviewing as well as understand how to showcase their strengths/experiences to employers so they can secure positions appropriate to how God has uniquely designed them.
The Center strives to partner with IWU Students, Faculty, Student Development, Employers and IWU Alumni throughout this process. We look forward to partnering with you on these mutually beneficial endeavors:
- Consider (1) serving as a mentor, (2) assisting with mock interview sessions and/or (3) conducting a presentation related to your field in the LDR 310: Life Skills, Work and Leadership course. This class offers job search and life skills strategies from a life calling perspective.
- Participate in (1) seminars preparing students for the job search process and/or (2) networking etiquette dinner associated with The PREP Institute. This major-specific job search series is offered several times each year.
- Serve as a (1) group chaperone and/or (2) table volunteer in the maze at Reality 101. This annual spring event allows 1,000 Grant County eighth graders to experience one day in the life of a 28-year old adult as well as provides a weath of learning opportunities to understand the importance of staying in school and getting good grades.
